An evening of story and song with four Canadian country/folk songsmiths. featuring a vintage western pop up shop by Good Gals Vintage.
THE PILGRIM (Soloman Woodland) - Kingston's Solomon Woodland performs original music in a folk-country fashion inspired by the greats such as Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash, and many others. Solomon has been most complimented and known for his haunting voice accompanied by a rhythmic southern style of guitar playing.
THE OUTLAW (Jay Gavin) - Influenced heavily by John Prine, Jay Gavin travelled from his hometown in PEI to Vancouver, from across the southern US to the California coast. Along the way, he’s collected grist for the mill and packed it into songs that combine all the elements of his past – and the musical traditions that shaped it. If you’re lucky enough to catch Jay Gavin in transit, you may very well wind up immortalized in one of his songs yourself.
THE KIDD (Denver Venoit) - Denver Venoit, known in these parts as Ole Man Kidd, lassos lonesome tunes from the heavens that’ll rattle your spurs and splash cold water on your face. Hailing from Shawnigan Lake, BC, Denver began touring across North America as a drummer, acquiring an unquenchable taste for travel along the way. He caught the blues the day his best friend died in his arms in a house fire in Montreal, and he has been wearing a cowboy hat and writing Folk, Country, Blues songs ever since.
THE CLOWN (Boots Graham) - Country music traditionalist and hayseed humourist Boots Graham has built a reputation as one of the most memorable live acts in Western Canada. Known for clever lyricism and witty banter Boots with his band Boots & The Hoots have carved a niche over the last 10 years. With your grandfather's taste in music and sense of humour Boots Graham delivers an authentic western experience through song and jokes
“Hardcore, traditional, songs of leavin’, drinkin’, & losin’, but mainly drinkin’, all enhanced by a tight rhythm section & plenty of steel guitar.” - Country Music People Magazine - ★★★★★

Boots & The Hoots are an albertan country & western based in Red Deer and formed in 2013.
"Praise be to hillbilly heaven, the spirit of Hank Williams is alive and
well. Alberta's Ol' Boots & the Hoots have resurrected the broken
vocal formula that was perfected by Southern storytellers years ago and
has since inspired so many amnesiac stadium-country singers. The
11-track Pinecone Cowboy features a poised collection of wittily
crafted, downtempo western melodies, a cactus in the ass of modern,
power-ballad country crooners that forgot the music of their
grandfathers. "
