The 29th Annual Mayor’s Christmas Concert returns!
The Lethbridge Community Silver and Gold Bands present the 29th Annual Mayor’s Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 3 at Southminster United Church at 7PM. Special guests include the Alegre Choir, under the direction of Kathy Matkin-Clapton, and Deputy Mayor Ryan Parker.
Many families experience need during this holiday season and the Lethbridge Community Band Society has, since the inception of this concert, supported our community through the partnership with Christmas Hope. Did you know…the Interfaith and Lethbridge Food Banks can stretch $1 to about $3 worth of food? Concert attendees are encouraged to bring a cash donation for the food banks.
The 29th Annual Mayor’s Christmas Concert is also a drop off location for the Angel Tree for Kids program. Please bring your unwrapped item to be dropped off at Southminster United Church.
“We look forward to sharing this concert with our many partners in support of building a better community to live in. We hope to see Southminster United Church filled to the rafters and everyone enjoying a truly inspiring holiday concert!” says LCBS President, René van de Vendel.
This is a highly sought out concert and often sells outs; we encourage everyone to purchase their tickets in advance! Tickets can be purchased online at lcbs.ca (donations to the food bank can be added to your ticket price), in person at Casa during their regular hours, or at the door.

Our Mission Statement: "The Lethbridge Community Band Society is committed to the prospect of enriching the quality of life in Lethbridge and surrounding area by promoting the study and performance of instrumental music, with special emphasis on concert band music commonly written for woodwind, brass and percussion instruments".
The Lethbridge Community Band was formed in 1987 to fill a void in the Lethbridge music scene; namely, to provide a learning and performance outlet for brass, woodwind and percussion players of all ages. 2012-13 marked our 25th Anniversary of offering music to Southern Alberta.
Since its inception, the Society has grown to become a valued cultural asset of Southern Alberta, having offered performances to thousands of concert patrons, schools and students.
