SAAG continues Articulations series with Anne Henderson

 The Southern Alberta Art Gallery’s Articulations speakers series continued tonight with a talk with director Anne Henderson.

Tonight at 7 p.m. join Anne Henderson, director of Battle of Wills, a 2009 documentary that tells a story of obsession and intrigue in the art world. The film profiles Lloyd Sullivan, an Ontario man, who believes he owns the only portrait of Shakespeare done from life.

Anne Henderson has written and directed documentaries on a wide range of topics, including culture, human rights, history and the environment. She is the recipient of a Genie Award, two Hot Docs Awards, a Gemini, as well as various international film prizes. After living in New York, Vancouver and Toronto, she is now based in Montreal.
Admissison for this talk is $15 for drop-ins.

Articulations continues on Friday, Nov. 5 with a lunchtime discusssion —  Art in the Public Realm.
The Alberta Professional Planners Institute South Events Committee present speaker Nicholas Wade, who will share his thoughts on public art from an artist's perspective.

Wade produced the first commissioned public work for the Winnipeg Millennium Library in 2005 and is presently shortlisted for a commission at the new Art Gallery of Alberta in Edmonton.

It takes place From 11:30 a.m to 2 p.m. in the Oldman River Regional Services Commission Conference Room located at 3105 - 16 Avenue North
Admission is $25 including lunch.
